Workshop 1: Abstract Florals – Painting With Fountain Pen Inks
About the workshop:
Join Carola (@FromCarola) in a fun and unique style of abstract floral art by painting with fountain pen inks on watercolour paper. In this interactive class, we’ll explore blending standard and shimmer inks while practicing painting techniques. Watch as Carola demonstrates step-by-step how to paint freehand floral outlines and then draw flower details on top.
Materials:
Each participant will receive a supply kit (included in workshop fee) – a paint brush, a fine liner, ink samples, and watercolour paper. You’ll also walk away with a handout of tips and techniques along with floral stickers created by Carola. Sponsored by Amarillo Stationery and TombowUSA

Workshop 2: Currently Inked – A Creative Spread with Fountain Pens
About the workshop:
Create a floral themed “Currently Inked” spread with Carola (@FromCarola) using your own fountain pens! In this easy-to-follow demonstration, Carola will show her unique process of drawing flowers and documenting inked pens. Bring your fountain pens and learn ways to log each pen, nib, and ink in an organized and aesthetically pleasing way. If you’re new to custom ground nibs, see how some of Carola’s favourites write and draw!
Materials:
Each participant will receive sample fountain pen friendly papers as well as a handout of tips and techniques and floral stickers created by Carola.
**Please bring at least 1 inked fountain pen that you want to write and draw with. (Recommended 3-8 fountain pens.)
Session 1: Fri, Aug 28 at 2:00pm-3:30pm
Session 2: Sat, Aug 29 at 10:45am-12:15pm
Location: The Westin, Millbrae CA (room to be confirmed)
Cost: $55 CAD/person (includes some materials).

Carola (@fromcarola) is an artist and workshop instructor based out of Vancouver, Canada, who brings her unique abstract style to painting, drawing, and creative journaling. Through her blog and social media, she shares her passion for stationery, planning, and artistic hobbies.
